The California Teachers Association (CTA) seems oddly unaffected by current tough economic times. Though they have a thriving budget, the CTA is even considering raising dues for 2009-2010. Even worse, these fees portion goes towards programs that have nothing to do with teachers or education. This article in the San Diego Tribune explains how the CTA is spending its money.
