Governor Jerry Brown has offered his full support to an effort by California Air Resources Board (CARB) chief Mary Nichols to completely eliminate all but zero emission vehicles by 2050, reports CalWatchdog.com. Nichols career includes leadership roles at a number of prominent green organizations. Now in the eighth year of her current tenure at CARB, Nichols has used her position to advance sweeping new policies that critics have called unrealistic but that environmentalists hope will be replicated by other government agencies around the world.
