The California Gold Rush set the stage for the Golden State to grow to an economic powerhouse that competed in the global economy. Larry Greenfield, from Investor’s Business Daily, says that California is going to be reaping the consequences of big government, failing schools, and union domination. A big example, is that $300 million is being spent on 1,500 redundant state transportation workers while infrastructure is crumbling.
