The world’s largest solar plant, which is located in the Mojave Desert, has been a disappointment to planners since it only produces 25% of the power expected, reports Reason.com. Although the plant already received $1.6 billion in Federally subsidized loans, they now want an additional $539 million taxpayer bailout. In addition to its failure to achieve financial viability, the plant also has had serious negative effects on birds.
