State high speed rail officials will meet in downtown Los Angeles where they are likely to be confronted by community members unhappy with local route proposals, writes Hillel Aron in LA Weekly. Residents of the City of San Fernando are angry about a potential route that would divide their city and shut down businesses while others are upset about an alternative proposal to tunnel under the Angeles National Forest that would endanger water supplies and leave potholes in the protected area.
