California Democrats have entrenched themselves in opposition to the GOP tax cuts, arguing that they don’t work for the poor citizens of California. However, critics like George Runner at the Board of Equalization, write in the Sac Bee that most Californians who take advantage of things like SALT deductions, make more than $100,000 a year and that the median California income is much lower and that these residents will see more deductions offset SALT and provide low income earners with reductions in their tax bill.
