Californians currently disagree on the ideal tax burden, with some favoring higher taxes and others arguing taxes are already too high, writes Dan Walters in the Sacramento Bee. Discussions are currently underway in the Legislature to raise taxes for roads and medical care and additional taxes are expected to be placed on the 2016 ballot. Walters notes Californians already pay a multitude of taxes, some major and some obscure, that total $250 billion.
